***Terrific Tuesday Roll Call***
Good morning, all!!!
Trish---Congrats on 5 months!!!
Not much happening around here. Paul had a headache last night and wasn't able to sleep; I think he was up most of the night. He's sleeping now, and I don't intend to disturb him. Maybe I'll go out for a walk so it will be quiet in here. (As in, the tv not blaring from the basement while I'm on the treadmill.)
Looks like my surgery won't be until the end of July. I hate having to wait that long, but I don't have a choice. I told them to call me if a slot opens up before then. I saw a different doctor yesterday, and Paul and I both really liked her. The other doc I had seen was sort of loud and rushed, and never examined me. The one yesterday was calm, thorough, thought about her answers before speaking, and did an exam so she would know just what she was dealing with. Even though I was irritated about having to have another consult, it worked out for the best, I think.

I am awake and in work that is a good start. Last night while driving home got a call from my bestie and we landed our butts at Parx casino. I must learn to quit while ahead so we had a fun night.
Before I went out Dennis and I had a talk about my "state of mind" with the comment my Aunt made to me. I felt better just letting it out here but talking to him even helped more. My Aunt Mary is my second Mom she has been since the day I was born and I know she meant no harm in it but she has a brash way of just saying what she is thinking. I love her!
So I left Den to fend for himself for dinner and he was in bed when I got home. So tonight I will make teh steaks I took out for last night for dinner then I have a mountain of laundry to fold. I will keep my butt home tonight that is for sure.

Five months! Congrats Trish!! Awesome
Today is more preparation for my concert with my students on the 23rd. After work, I go for a check up with my GP who hasn't seen me in a few months. The last time she saw me she walked right past me, didn't recognize me!! Then, home to make dinner and hopefully get Dee to try some new foods. Last night she tried mashed potatoes and green beans. Didn't like either, but at least she did try. It was so funny the face she was making when she was eating the green beans. She was crying and laughing and so were we! It was an exhausting afternoon though. I had to take her for her well visit and there was a shot involved with lots of screaming and crying! Why do I pay for this???
I also spoke to the pediatrician about nutrition and getting her to try new things. She said that it could take up to 30 times before she will learn to like something. OY!! People, buy stock in Clairol now!!! I will be keeping them in business for awhile!!! LOL.

I realize that I hardly ever post to roll call, and it's really a good thing to do so here I am. I woke up obscenely early this morning because I thought I had to take the train to NYC, but I got an early email telling me my meetings were moved to Princeton. Since I was already up, I went for a two mile walk around my neighborhood and just enjoyed the cool quiet of the morning. I wish I could do that every morning, but I'm really not an early riser by nature!
So now today I'm at work, then after work I'm going to the gym for Zumba, and then going out with a few of my Zumba buddies. Good times!
I hope everyone is having a great day.

They are still installing the new furnace today (day 2) so hopefully everything will run smoothly. I'm working, then doing errands, and then piano lesson. Today will be the second lesson with my new teacher....so far so good, so we'll see how today's lesson goes. I do feel like I've made some progress just from the meeting and lesson I've had with her thus far.

Good morning PA and WELL DONE TRISH!
So im back in the swing of things after my vacation to the Outer Banks last week. It was my first time there and I loved it. So relaxing! Man I neaded that! Unfortunately, I allowed myself to overindulge in beer and food!!!! I used the distortion of "this is my last vacation where I will be able to eat and drink anything I want...I have to live it up!" I know this is a common distortion for pre-surgery types but still! I am going to have to reschedule my 6th and final weigh in/Dr. appointment for next week so I can re-lose the 7 pounds I gained on vacation. What a bummer.
Well, thats all for now. Wish me luck. Missed you all!
